it is extremely quiet here.. two people can be 1/2 mile away from you talkng in a normal voice and you can hear them. because it is just so quiet here. Nothing but the sound of the wind.. and your thoughts!

you wait and see what that kid says when his raft breaks lol you can hear him cursing and screaming for 5 miles away lol but that is the fun of being a kid lol

Yes that water is very cold is right !

the quality was not the issue at the time.. this was an instance of either get it quick now or it is gone forever !

There was no time; or as One moderator put it on another site..

take the picture over, close his mouth, place the camera on a tripod. have him smile etc and a list a mile long of things we should have done different.
We were almost 100 yards away from him when this image was captured and created !

Shooting from the hip is quick. either you capture the image or you don't.
We had no say in this matter. that boy was too far away from us. Either we capture this now or forget it. That water is very shallow, it is in a lagoon that is only 2' deep !
