Just wanted to share some pics I took from the Pittsburgh Zoo a little over a decade ago. I thought I had lost them but came across the original prints a few days ago. So I scanned them to PC and touched them up a bit. These were taken with an old Minolta 202 SLR I had bought in 1978 using a Vivitar 300mm lens for the zoom. I most likely used a Fuji 200 ISO film because that's what I was in the habit of using at the time. Hope you like! (click the images for a larger view)

I absolutely love these. The fact they are older photos makes it even better.

By the way, if it wasn't for the fact i was listening to "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top i would most definitely be listening to Guns N Roses right now!

every one of these is excellent mark, honestly. You should consider doing more photography, cuz everything I've seen from you lately, whether older shots or recent, are all good!

Thanks all. Bryan, I've actually considered it. I honestly anticipate doing a lot of nature shots over the summer. Nature seems to be my forte. Never have been very good with people/portraits.

I think we must be opposite then Mark. I'm more of a people person and love to take portraits. I dread the thought of taking animal shots, everyone i tend to take ends up being complete and utter crap.

I agree with Bryan here though, these are all really good photos.

I think I'm more like SB then.

I will indulge myself with some human photos. I don't know, is it good to pay someone to take their pics?

I don't know is there ways to convince them to let us snap them for freee....

:)

:scratchhead:

Why would anyone pay anyone to take their photo? Usually it's the other way around. I think i'm going to be safe here when i say that your ability in photography is very very limited George, so to pay to take a photo is a waste of money. If on the other hand you were a good portrait photographer and you were likely to recieve either alot of business from it or some direct income as a result of the photo then i wouldn't even bother taking one small coin out of your pocket for a photo.

Surely you've got some friends or family that you could talk into having their photo taken?

Oh, no business purposes. Just hobby only. For memories or souvenirs kind of thing.

I know, I mean some model-looking type, I don't know I will be on the look-out.

I was meaning photos like:
[bias?]

naked-type, is it socially unacceptable? I don't want ppl to think that way, I mean really pro. at snapping naked pics..I'd love to see some samples if any can be found
