Here's a question related to my image viewer again.

It works by changing the .src of an Image object, so there is no page reload
Code: [ Select ]
function loadphoto(path,cap) {
     pic.src = path;
  1. function loadphoto(path,cap) {
  2.      pic.src = path;

which is maybe why the cursor status & other browser clues do not indicate that any downloading is going on; I have a message "loading" on the page, but with a slow dial-up connection, unless you check your connection or something, it may seem that the page is broken.

Also, the image does not appear until it's completely downloaded using this method, so I cannot use that to indicate the progress.

I don't suppose anyone knows of a way to force those loading "ques" on the browser until I get pic.complete?
