However, all you have to do is edit your subSilver style sheet (subSilver.css)

I don't know what you named your background image, but make sure that it is saved in the images directory in the subSilver templates directory. i.e. templates/subSilver/images/your-background.gif

Then edit the body element. Currently you have this:
Code: [ Select ]
body {
    background-color: #ffffff;
    scrollbar-face-color: #DEE3E7;
    scrollbar-highlight-color: #FFFFFF;
    scrollbar-shadow-color: #DEE3E7;
    scrollbar-3dlight-color: #D1D7DC;
    scrollbar-arrow-color: #006699;
    scrollbar-track-color: #EFEFEF;
    scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #98AAB1;
}
  1. body {
  2.     background-color: #ffffff;
  3.     scrollbar-face-color: #DEE3E7;
  4.     scrollbar-highlight-color: #FFFFFF;
  5.     scrollbar-shadow-color: #DEE3E7;
  6.     scrollbar-3dlight-color: #D1D7DC;
  7.     scrollbar-arrow-color: #006699;
  8.     scrollbar-track-color: #EFEFEF;
  9.     scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #98AAB1;
  10. }

Add background-image so it would be like this:
Code: [ Select ]
body {
    background-color: #ffffff;
  background-image : url(images/your-background.gif);
    scrollbar-face-color: #DEE3E7;
    scrollbar-highlight-color: #FFFFFF;
    scrollbar-shadow-color: #DEE3E7;
    scrollbar-3dlight-color: #D1D7DC;
    scrollbar-arrow-color: #006699;
    scrollbar-track-color: #EFEFEF;
    scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #98AAB1;
}
  1. body {
  2.     background-color: #ffffff;
  3.   background-image : url(images/your-background.gif);
  4.     scrollbar-face-color: #DEE3E7;
  5.     scrollbar-highlight-color: #FFFFFF;
  6.     scrollbar-shadow-color: #DEE3E7;
  7.     scrollbar-3dlight-color: #D1D7DC;
  8.     scrollbar-arrow-color: #006699;
  9.     scrollbar-track-color: #EFEFEF;
  10.     scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #98AAB1;
  11. }

Remember that "images/your-background.gif" is relative to the subSilver directory. If you have the image stored elsewhere, you'll need to make it an absolute path.

That should work for you.

P.S. b_heyer - remember, he's just 17 and just learning this. I'd say he's not doing too bad. Wish I knew what he knows when I was his age.
P.P.S. Cowkiller - although, I think, b_heyer was being sarcastic he does have an excellent point. Take a look at my slogan in my signature. "Ask a better question, get a better answer" It does help if you provide some details. I could only come up with an answer, because I knew where your site was and bothered to take a look. I was briefly tempted to do the same thing b_heyer did.

Ah I love grumpy days, feeling much better today though :)

Sorry cowkiller for the snide remark, however as ATNO/TW stated, its a good idea to pose questions instead of the punctuationless sentance above. I am a big advocate of using punctuation in the "seemingly unceasing to expand at supernatural speed" internet era, because even though it is moving fast, it is a good idea to remember the roots of english (especially grammer). It helps people to better understand what you are trying to get accross, and I have no reason to lecture you, because after all you are older then me, thus I will stop :oops: .

I truely had to read your line three or four times to understand what it meant. And I know this punctuation thing has come up somewhere else in the forums.

Sorry again, I'll try to control my fingers from now on :twisted: :lol:

I'm not 100% perfect with spelling and punctuation as I would like to be, but I discovered a few years back that it helps to be as exact and precise as possible. It's a good practice in developing excellent coding skills. Playing around a bit with Perl, VB, and now PHP has taught me the value of attention to that kind of detail. One quotation mark that should have been an apostrophe can prevent a whole 1000 line page of code from parsing correctly. In fact, that reminds me. I think I need to go back and look at my other post. Now that I think about it, I may have actually done just that! *lol at myself.

P.S. - You're kidding -- you're younger than 17, too? Am I the only old fart around here that took up coding when he was 40? *lol

Oh, I could have been rich by now! Why didn't I listen to my roomate in college!!!

Hehehe, Yes I'm only 16. Oh I hate when that happens, especially when you leave off ";"s at the end of lines in php, then the error is always about the last line of code :roll: . But now I know better when I see that error, no more staring at an empty line for me :)
