basic racing game

hey ppl im new to visual basic and at school iv bin asked to create a very basic rasing game. i have my 4 pictures (cars) and would like them to race across the screen to the finissh line, but i dont know the codes for this. I would also like it so that different cars win each time not just the same car over and over, randomising i fink it is called anyway could u please help me with this code please cheers

shouldnt your teacher show you how to do this? or latest teach you the basics? It looks like your coming into this project knowing anything

Hmm, I took VB, and we never had this project, but we did have some like it. I can help you with getting the cars to move around.

All you have to do is make them go from left to right, correct? All you need to do is change their position along the x axis.

This would be done with the "Left" property. You just increase that property by some value, and it will move to that position. Now, what VB are you using? .NET? VB6?

the game has 4 cars and when you press a button to start the race they race across the screen horizontally together. Its just like the horse racing game at arcades you just bet on the car that is going to win. You dont actually move the car in any way
im using VB6
