Post 3+ Months Ago

I am trying to build a site and i use AppServ for testing. I have a weird problem. Some sections of my site are cached and i get the same page what ever the code is...

Explain:
The menu is

Home - Search - Gbook - My site - Memberslist

When i click the Gbook link i get nothing. I used this code in php:

PHP Code: [ Select ]
if($_GET['page']==gbook)

{

include "hi.htm";

}
  1. if($_GET['page']==gbook)
  2.
  3. {
  4.
  5. include "hi.htm";
  6.
  7. }

but i still get nothing.
then i tried :
PHP Code: [ Select ]
if($_GET['page']==gbook)

{

echo "hello";

}
  1. if($_GET['page']==gbook)
  2.
  3. {
  4.
  5. echo "hello";
  6.
  7. }

nothing :x

Then i tried it with FireFox and Opera . The same problem.

Then i tried it using OmniHTTPd as server... The same problem came up.

I can't get it. I cleared my cache on all browsers and even changed the url of my server to make it work but again the same thing.

Any help???

try echoing the $_GET value before the test. Make sure the value is there.

Ctl+F5 is a nice way to refresh the page. if you are running a webserver ie http://www.server.com try using http://server.com instead.

It sounds like the webserver is caching the requested pages so it doesn't have to proccess them again

Let me know if it helps
