I have an 2 html files...one for the index that creates the iframes and the other is the navigation script (java based tree menu). Whenever I attempt to use

window.open("findipaddress.pl", "master")

it prompts me to open/save/more info (download file). Is there anyway to load the pl file into the frame? any help would be appreciated!

you should be able to call the script just as you would if you went directly to the URL,
ie: http://www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/myscript.pl
or more to your question:
Code: [ Select ]
<iframe frameborder='0' style='width:700;height:800;' src='http://www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/myscript.pl?any=variables&go=here'> </iframe>

As to loading the page on a mouseclick from a different frame, that depends on the script you're using, but I would guess somewhere there would have to be something like:
Code: [ Select ]
onClick="parent.main.location='http://whatever.youre/trying/to/load';"

or some such - though I might be mistaken.
