Changing Rank colors in phpbb

i was wondering how you would change the rank colors... such as on ozzu the admin shows up red. the reason i want to do this is my phpbb theme, the links are the same color as the admin color so it looks like all members are admins.

i fallowed all the steps but it still didnt change the color, well it did in a way it changed the Administrator, but not the user, the admin user is Luigi. Im not sure why though any ideas?

do you think its because my admin user is not set to the right rank ? because the mods work fine

You sorta lost me. Are you talking about the "Who's online" link colors, or are you talking about the ranks above the Avatar images?

who's online

in the database the userl lvl is 1 for admin... the mod is set to 2 for moderator. the mods are blue admins i want to be red. but the tutorial you gave me didnt work. it just changed the key color
