Hi All,

Is there any third party tool or component to handle htaccess rule for search friendly URL as we do for Joomla OR symfony

Both Joomla and Symfony have i built that convert & separated parameters in search friendly URL like
Code: [ Select ]
URL/test.php?id=1

to
Code: [ Select ]
URL/test.php/id/1.html

thru setting in admin panel or some interface.

Do we hv third party tool or component implemented in PHP ??

Is there a specific piece of software you want to use it with ?
I've seen plug-ins and mods designed to work with existing applications that have "hook" points.

I don't believe I've ever seen a PHP library dedicated to working with this stuff though. Most times you would just build your application to output addresses in one format, read them from GET, and have mod_rewrite do the translation.

This is exactly what mod_rewrite is for, you can put those directives in .htaccess, presuming it is available on the server which it probably is.

I still can't post a link, but google "Rewrite .htaccess" and you will find a ton of how-to stuff. And the apache manual has documentation for it.

What is your existing framework ?

I've never seen a library designed to just work with any home-brewed framework before, if that's what you're getting at. The closest I've seen to that would be writing an Apache Output Filter, but that would be incredibly inefficient not to mention be completely out of the question if you're configuration access is limited to htaccess. It would be better to create a module for your framework or have your application just output the SEO friendly URLs.
