DOCTYPE and scrollbar styling don’t seem to go together

Hi all,

I came across this and don’t know how to explain it. I have some styling statements to set the color of my scrollbar.

           MARGIN: 0px 30px;            
           scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #E3E3C6;

           scrollbar-highlight-color: #EEEEDD;
           scrollbar-face-color: #EEEEDD;
           scrollbar-track-color: #EEEEDD;

But the only time the scrollbar styling shows is when I remove the DOCTYPE at the top of my page. :!: I've tried and confirmed this a few times. Has anyone else experienced this? The following is my DOCTYPE

This has been asked twice in the last week or so, searching for "doctype scrollbar" gave me:

The scrollbar css doesn't work with a full doctype, use a reduced one.

I had looked for the topic of scrollbar styling just a couple of weeks ago and had not found anything in regard to doctype and scrollbar styling. It goes to show that even one week can make a difference. :lol:

Anyway, I found the answer in one of the links you provided. Thanks again. :D
