Fatal Error in installing PHPBB Forum

hi there
i have been trying to install a PHPBB forum
i have FTP'd all the files
i also get the install.php page
after filling up the appropriate fields
when i press the intall button
i get the following error

"Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/www/xxx.xxxx.com/forum/install/install.php on line 823"

and other query i would like to ask is that iam having a NUKE site on the same host
since it is a free host it allows me only 1 Mysql database
so iam using the same database for the phpbb forum
is this ok or is this error related to it

please do help me out on this matter

no, you must have a seperate database. hold your breathe taht your nuke db isn't corrupt :]

no the DB aint corrupt cause the Nuke site is working properly

the reason is, it is trying to create a new mysql database... do you think its gonna be able to be created??? and no, again, it wont work with another DB

no the other database should be fine.
phpBB2 will not allow it to install and corrupt an active database.

thats where the error comes from.

you'll need to set up a MySQL database for phpBB2.
