Google Analytics Data Export API

I don't know how I missed this when it came out because I periodically scour the web to see if I can find it, but it looks like Google Analytics finally has a functional data export API.

I plan to put together a quick application for a wallpaper site that looks for the most popular wallpapers by unique view and generates a fresh popular wallpaper section once a day.

Any other ideas on what to do with this API ?

I haven't noticed whether it's possible to get statistics based on the hour of the day, but if it's possible it might be cool to have an automated task that looks at that data and automatically reschedules automated tasks for the least active on average hours of the day.
