Hi All

Just finished a new site, but I'm having some problems in Firefox.

I'm using Greybox to show a few things that I felt didn't require having a whole page to themselves. All works fine, except for one thing in FF. For example, when you open the prices section when you're on the gallery page, it appears behind the flash gallery, when it should be in front of it.

Is this some z-index problem or what? It's really got me stumped...

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes its likely a z-index issue... and flash also tends to be a pain.
Maybe in your style sheet go:
Code: [ Select ]
#flashcontent {position:absolute; z-index: 100; }

You'll need to look at the other 'absolute' positioned items on the page and that the 'greybox's z-index is more than 100 (not familiar with grey box; I normally use lightbox).

If that doesnt work try adding this into the "Prices" link:
Code: [ Select ]
<a href="....prices.gif" onclick="return GB_showCenter('', this.href, 430, 630);document.getElementById('flashcontent').style.visibility='hidden';">Prices</a>

But with that you'll need to add a function within the Close action of greybox, ie:
Code: [ Select ]
document.getElementById('flashcontent').style.visibility='normal';

Hope that helps in some way (no garauntees!)

Hmmmm...thanks, but tried both ideas and neither work. Although they should!

Anything else?

That is interesting

I think this might be a FF flash plug in issue

Try this

Open the site, the select your prices and display the issue you having. Then bring another application into focus (your email client or something) then switch back to your FF browser, mine displays the page correctly then :)

See if this works for you. At least you know it ain't your HTML that is the problem :)

Found a fix, using this code to embed the Flash:

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="myMovie.swf" width="400" height="100">
<param name="movie" value="myMovie.swf" />
<param name="BGCOLOR" value="#000000" />
<a title="You must install the Flash Plugin for your Browser in order to view this movie" href="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/alternates/"><img src="alternate_image.jpg" width="400" height="100" alt="Placeholder for flash movie" /></a>
</object>

Just incase anyone else has the same problem ;o)
