I use Visual Studio 2005 for Business Intelligence projects. I would like to adjust the default font and background color in the Layout View so that I don't have to set this up each time I start a new project or a new report within an existing project.

The VS font default seems to be Arial 10pt for all Toolbox objects. I always design with Arial Narrow 9pt so I have to change this every time. The same goes with the background color. The default is Transparent which I'm not sure why because it renders the report background BLACK when viewing in the Preview mode. I would like this setting to default to White.

So far I have not been able to figure out how to change these default settings to my own preference. If anyone knows how please let me know. I gleefully welcome a  DOH! moment. Thanks in advance.

I looked pretty thoroughly and couldn't find a way. You might consider asking this at the MSDN forums
