Get a faster server, better CPU means faster processing or rebuild your php site in a more effective way for less db requests.

Hey iFuturz, if you are taking about getting large set of record from db then try to put some index's on tables and modify your queries to retrieve data bases on those index columns.

If you have access to php.ini you can try changing the max_execution_time = 30; (secs) to some other (higher) value for longer execution.

If you don't have access to PHP ini or only want extended execution time for one script you can try using ini_set:
Code: [ Select ]
ini_set('max_execution_time', 600); //600 sec is just an example set it to whatever

I personally have never found the need to use any such functionality so I don't know if just changing that is enough to make it "work as intended".

You may also have other limits in place preventing the script and maybe you need to change the memory_limit or other settings if your script is really resource hungry.
