[solved] inserting data, but no echo?

Did you use dreamweaver to build this site (or another editor)?

dreamweaver.

First i used notepad, then i transferred to dreamweaver to see how the layout of the tables look.

Okay this is a stab in the dark but I think dreamweaver has written the id attrib's for you, so to avoid conflict with other id's it has suffixed them with a number so they remain unique.

this is what I think, not to sure though.

oh, i notied now. I secificially remember that in notepad i didnt add the numbers. It was macromedia.... i hope they arent damanging nothing by doing this.

Yip that is why I stick to the good old hard coded way and my trusty F5 key.
