link my code so it will work with my computer

i made this really neat code which alerts me of an appointment by a window and i want to use it without running it over and over? how would i get a code to work with my computer not just by itself?

using perl, i want a script i made to be able to be on my desktop so i can click on it and it will pop up without me loading up my perl program for me to see it. hope thats clearer.

I could be wrong, but I don't think you can run a script on your destop. I think you will have to compile the program and you may need to add some stuff to it for it to work the way you want it to. I'm sure that doesn't help much :( sorry

Write a PHP desktop application that calls the Perl script from a command line... I guess you could do the same thing in C or whatever, too...
