I am a bit confussed on how to load the main page in a popup. I can do this w/ a link to a new page, but on the main site I am not sure.

For example. When you go to ozzu.com it is in a resized window that you controlled in the coding.

:scratchhead: huh? My window stays exactly where & what size it was when I opened it.

One way you can do it is having your index automatically popup the new window onload, then use window.close(); to get rid of the opener.
Somthing like this,
Code: [ Select ]
<html>
<head>
<script language="javascript">
function replaceWithPopUp(){
    window.open(normal stuff for popup window goes here);
    window.close();
}
</script>
</head>
<body onload="replaceWithPopUp();"></body>
</html>
  1. <html>
  2. <head>
  3. <script language="javascript">
  4. function replaceWithPopUp(){
  5.     window.open(normal stuff for popup window goes here);
  6.     window.close();
  7. }
  8. </script>
  9. </head>
  10. <body onload="replaceWithPopUp();"></body>
  11. </html>

I kind of tweeked it a bit for my needs, but when I use the windo.close it comes up w/ a note like "the webpage you are viewing is trying to close this window" Yes / No

Is there a way to get rid of that, or do it some other way.

I don't think this is possible for security reasons. When you do client side scripts you can close windows that you open, but not windows that the user opened. If they allowed this it would enable people to hijack your browser by opening a window with no control buttons and closing the previous window.

I think you have to be content with opening the new window and just loading a page with a simple message that says something like "site loading in a new window."
