Mozilla has released a beta version of its new addon/desktop app(!) named Prism. The new tool harvests data off your website and converts it into a desktop application. Once done, the created application functions completely independent of FF and the originating website. If you just can't bare to tear yourself away from that social networking site or you want to offer your users a new way to enjoy your content, then this is an interesting approach worth looking into.

I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

That looks pretty interesting. I actually might just try that out

Very cool. I can now set my flash apps to look like desktop apps, but are running off of my webserver. This actually helped me a great deal cause I was looking at just using VB to create my own web browser without all the surrounding junk of a normal browser. This is exactly what I needed. Thanks for the thread.

This saved me loads of time. I would had to have installed my crappily written VB browser (basically just using the browser component) on all my machines (about 6). Then, I would have to put it on some media in order to get it installed on each machine and have to carry around the source with me. Prism was the bomb. Excellent find.

I've noticed everythings kinda been stepped up around ozzu especially since the call for members to start handling different areas. By far the best forum from the aesthetics to the community members.
