MySQL help me im new!

Im trying to figure out how to get mysql database to work on a webserver i have telnet acces too. I dont even know if its installed correctly. Does anyone know of a site or know how to help me. I know its msyql 5.0 and on a apachee webserver on Windows.

Would be helpful to know what problems you are having and whats going on. A little detail never hurts ;)

How bout this... Im trying to setup phpnuke and i have no idea how to set up mysql databases.

well,
you should use some mysql client to make your life easyer.

check out if they have phpmyadmin, otherwise they probably have some database administration area in the control panel.

Create the database, NOTE DOWN THE DATABASE SERVERNAME.
Create a user/password for the database.
When installing phpnuke just inser the values u used before.
The installer creates the tables for you in the database you selected with the user datails you provided.

If this sounds very complicated i sugest u read a lot of documentation...its a patience process.
