I'm really struggling to get my head around this concept of joins/keys/indexes

other than setting a primary key, which is simple, I can set indexes and keys, but I'm not altogether sure of how to utilize them in the best way.
The MySQL resources I have dont seem to explain things very well and when I've tried joins, they dont display the information properly, usually produce multiple copies of results.

I know that probably makes no sense but what I guess I'm after is a decent tutorial on this subject, anybody??

and the list goes on.

Try doing a search on google using "SQL JOIN" remember that MySQL uses SQL which is a different topic
