Hey,

Ive been working on a webbased start and stop for some gameservers. I got that figured out using a simple php script and batch files. But does anyone know how to make a batch file that will tell the status of the server? running, stopped, etc etc. im using firedaemon if that makes any difference.

net stop "servicename" is how ive been doing it.. i just wanna incorporate a status.

what commands are there that will give you the status of the service? Run one of them and use PHP's output buffering functions to read the data.

Well then it isn't a batch file question, is it.

Find out the commands, and then use PHP's output buffering functions to collect their output.

if net stop "servicename" works for the service, then net status "servicename" will probably work for that service, supposing the service supports it.
