Needing script to PM visitors of a site.

I know these are possible in atleast JavaScript, I have seen one, just never got it, and the site took it down. The script allowed the Webmaster to communicate to the current visitors through a PM system. If any one that can send me the coding for JavaScript (I doubt any one will) or if you can just send me a site that has one, thanks.

I can't say as I have ever heard of anything like this, but I can tell you it isn't Javascript since something like that would require server-side coding like PHP or ASP.

Or maybe even a Java Applet (yuk).
