I just had to get this off my chest, Mods, delete or move as you see fit.

I've been coding Perl for quite some time. For the past two years or so I've been "going to start doing something with PHP one of these days". Well, that day came about three days ago and I've just got to say - I wish I'd taken the 2 hours to learn it 2 years ago! OK, so it's similarities to Perl probably shortened my learning curve, and granted, I had some issues with getting it installed and running on my old development server, but I've just saved myself about three weeks of coding! (hence, I have time to come write stupid posts about how great PHP is). I feel like an idiot for not checking it out sooner.

I guess I just wanted to say this so if anyone is out there just getting started scripting and suddenly needs to create a huge data driven application - look into PHP! It interfaces sooo much cleaner to SQL than Perl does. Now, if I can just get it to do an unless...

Tell me about it, DBI is a mess...
