I would like a real simple footer on my webpage.

I suppose PHP would be the easiest?

How would I create a PHP code that linked to: footer.php?

Thanks.

Does the PHP need to be in code other than html?

HTML wanted in Footer:
Code: [ Select ]
<table width="100%" border="0">
 <tr>
  <td><div align="center">
    <div align="center"><a href="link.htm"><strong><font color="#000000">Exchange
     links with Mansei! Design.</font></strong></a></div>
    <div align="center"><span class="default"><a href="http://www.ozzu.com" target="_blank">www.ozzu.com</a>
     // <a href="http://www.smallsports.com" target="_blank">www.smallsports.com</a>
     // </span><a href="http://topsitenet.com/cgi-bin/in.cgi?listid=1668&siteid=23" target="_blank">www.topsitenet.com</a>
     // <a href="http://www.relmaxtop.com">www.relmaxtop.com</a></div>
   </div></td>
 </tr>
</table>
  1. <table width="100%" border="0">
  2.  <tr>
  3.   <td><div align="center">
  4.     <div align="center"><a href="link.htm"><strong><font color="#000000">Exchange
  5.      links with Mansei! Design.</font></strong></a></div>
  6.     <div align="center"><span class="default"><a href="http://www.ozzu.com" target="_blank">www.ozzu.com</a>
  7.      // <a href="http://www.smallsports.com" target="_blank">www.smallsports.com</a>
  8.      // </span><a href="http://topsitenet.com/cgi-bin/in.cgi?listid=1668&siteid=23" target="_blank">www.topsitenet.com</a>
  9.      // <a href="http://www.relmaxtop.com">www.relmaxtop.com</a></div>
  10.    </div></td>
  11.  </tr>
  12. </table>

When I place this code
Code: [ Select ]
<? include('footer.php'); ?>

in an html file, nothing comes up.

Thanks.

is the page you're including into saved as a .php file?

It works fine for me:

http://bheyer.acgcny.com/footertest.php
Code: [ Select ]
<h1>Test</h1>

http://bheyer.acgcny.com/footertestpage.php
Code: [ Select ]
<? include('footertest.php'); ?>
[/code]

willsten,

Not to sound crass or antyhing, but if you want it to work, you need to take a few moments to learn how php works. b_heyer took some of his time to help, but my thought is you still have some learning to do.

i agree.

and as it may sound that im just asking questions as they come randomly, im actually taking good time trying to sort the problem myself. usually i cant, refer to b, and from there learn what the mistake was.

thanks again for your help, php now works.
