PHP Index'ing

On some servers, if a directory doesnt have an index file it shows whats in the directory. I was wondering how it does that.

That is done in apache, not PHP. If they have that option enabled you should be able to do it automatically.

Yup, through the .htaccess file...

Code: [ Select ]
Options Indexes

turns it on...

Code: [ Select ]
Options -Indexes

turns it off...

That is, assuming your host allows you to override this setting in a .htaccess.
