Hello,

I'm running a web site where from time to time I want to know the status of the interfaces I'm using, like MySQL, Apache, and other external databases and web services.

I want to have some sort of page that can automatically check the above.

I was thinking that for the external a ping to the addresses or services would be enough. But for the local (MySQL, Apache) how can I do it?

Thanks!!!

OP wants a fairly simple page where he can check on the health of his server tool. Awstats has either core or added packages that cover the tools mentioned. If, however, you don't want to go that route, then I recommend a simple cron/perl job that would hook up to each, do a basic operation, and report when necessary.

PHP has phpversion() for the version of PHP used, mysql_info() for the mysql data, phpinfo(), has the ability to show only modules (Just likeget_loaded_extensions()...

That's if I understood the original poster's question/request...
