php upload limitations

hi everyone,
the default size for uploads with php is 2mb. if i intended to create a upload page that would upload audio and video files, that means i would have to change the default on php.ini to a very large size, like 90mb. would there be any problem that this can cause. also is it possible to use the normal php upload method to do this.just want to know the best options that are available if i wish to accept audio and video upload using php.
