possible reasons why phpBB cannot reach database...

My site is down because my phpbb failed to reach my server...

Could not connect to the database



ok... I went to check in my CPanel and found that the database is still there, I also went to check the config file in phpbb and it specifically points to the right database... So, what happened to have cause this sudden error?

I don't know, I've seen that error come up on super-high-demand phpBB boards, and sometimes on the low-demand forums when it's running on a low-end server...

Other than that, I don't know what to tell ya, I'd check http://www.phpbb.com and ask in their forums, unless somebody here has experienced this and knows what the fix is.

ok. its alright now, i checked and its fine now. (I wonder why?)

My guess is the host was having some probs.
