hi,
I am using PHPBB as forum software.
When user posted , getting Zero Sized Reply errors. It's being added to the database but is still giving the poster an error when they submit their post.
Some users notify me about this error.
How can i avoid this ?

What is the exact error message?
What version of phpBB are you using?
Have you recently installed any new mods?

When user submit the post it shows submitting (loading in browser) but the page does'nt shows that post has been submitted (confirmation page " Your post has been submitted) .
That is it stuck at same page. But in actual post has been submitted to database.

I recently update the phpbb to latest version from phpBB 2.0.17 to phpBB 2.0.18

Have you changed any of the skins since you have updated?

You could have missed a code, if not, then phpbb have a goodish tech help. as it would be a glitch in the the version, I would like to know the outcome as I have not yet updated by forum.

Has it only been doing this since your upgrade, or was it doing it before, too.

Don't know it's few days i install forum. Only i am as user. When I apply skins and adding forum, I allowed user to register it.
2-3 days later new version come and I upgrade it. So, I can't say.my friend tell me there is such problem. So, i look and post message and get same thing. First time I assume it's due to my low speed mobile connection.
But 2 more user says the same things.
I have to correct it so my forum does'nt die before it rise.
I don't know php programming in details.
Please, help me.

When you did your upgrade, there is a file in the install package called update_to_latest.php That updates your database schema. If you didn't do it when you upgraded try to run that file.

The other thing that can cause that is when the server is under a heavy load. It seems unlikely that your forum being new would have that problem, but if you are hosted on a shared server somewhere it could be other sites that are putting the server under a heavy load.

Those are the only two things I can think of.

Well, there's a very good likelyhood that could be it. In fact I had this identical problem yesterday when replying to a post. Bigwebmaster told me that at that moment the server load was extremely high and that is one of the things that can happen on a high load.

I would suggest talking to tech support at your hosting company and see if they can offer you any help.
