Processing Large text file using perl

Dear all.

I am a new user. and I need you help.

I have a very large text file contains IDS alarms and I need to process it in order to use it in a another process.

Can any body help me and thank you in advance

What do you have so far? We can't help you unless you actually show us what you've tried, what isn't working, and what errors you're getting.
