In IE just right click on any of the blank space on one of menu bars and you will have toggle options to show or hide most of the items you want to remove. :wink:

f11 puts you into fullscreen, then you can add or remove toolbars as you wish.

Depends what you want to do.

For design you would have to use a window.open(href, winName, properties)

Properties include:
scrollbars - bool
status - bool
titlebar - bool
title - bool
toolbar - bool
top - int
width - int
z-lock - int

so to open a new window with nothing but the frame you would use

window.open("somepage.xxx","newWindow","HEIGHT=100, WIDTH=100")

and for a page with just a titlebar would be
window.open("somepage.xxx","newWindow","toolbar")

as far as I know, you can' do it to the current window...

you can pop a new window as described above and close the current window, but unless that was a spwaned window, you'll get a confirmation alert. plus popups are generally a bad thing IMHO :)

What! no one likes jsp? LOL I have an idea... what's better Windows or MacOS or xNIX LOL.... what a hornets nest!

Having worked in all 3, I lean towards php for the same reason Rabib Dog seems to be expressing. Plus I lke javascript beter than vbscript (I know either will work but vbscript seems taylored for ASP). Although there are definately things I hate about php too.... wtf is -> syntax anyhow!? LOL

I'm currently developing 2 projects...
1 IIS ASP SQServer; 1 xNIX PHP mySQL....

try switching back and forth a few times a day to see how fast you can get your head to explode.

You wan't to remove the bars on top? I have Microsoft Internet Explorer V 6.0 and I think I know how youcan do it with this browser.
Code: [ Select ]
<script>
if (window.location.search.indexOf("realwindow") == -1) {
Nwindow=window.open(window.location+"?realwindow=1", "", "width="+(screen.width-100)+", height="+(screen.height-100));
Nwindow.moveTo((screen.width/2-((screen.width-100))/2), (screen.height/2-((screen.height-100))/2)-25);
window.opener="";
window.close();
}
</script>
  1. <script>
  2. if (window.location.search.indexOf("realwindow") == -1) {
  3. Nwindow=window.open(window.location+"?realwindow=1", "", "width="+(screen.width-100)+", height="+(screen.height-100));
  4. Nwindow.moveTo((screen.width/2-((screen.width-100))/2), (screen.height/2-((screen.height-100))/2)-25);
  5. window.opener="";
  6. window.close();
  7. }
  8. </script>
This code must be entered near the top of the page, since what it does is re-open the window without the bars.

Feel your pain, work during the day in ASP and in the eve with PHP.

hate the stupid little difference, terminating lines in PHP and not ASP - the damn equality operator(= OR ==) curly braces or then (who the heck tells a computer THEN?)

Mind numbing stuff - my thoughts are ditch ASP and every body use PHP - all together now Ditch ASP. Although C# looks interesting (better formed than ASP)

Anyways that is my opinion
