I need to run a test SSL to test a PayPal payment class... the class would through an error if the page is not SSL... What I need to know is... how do I make it SSL under WAMP?

Well... normally I would say just setup whatever you need. But SSL can be a pain in the ass on WAMP to setup/config with other virtual servers, not to mention these days self-signing is useless cause browsers flip out with their stupid little validility things in the address bars.

You're talking about a PHP class I assume right? I wrote this:

Code: [ Select ]
<?php
function InSSL()
{
return ((isset($_SERVER['HTTPS']) && $_SERVER['HTTPS'] == 'on') ? TRUE : FALSE);
}
?>
  1. <?php
  2. function InSSL()
  3. {
  4. return ((isset($_SERVER['HTTPS']) && $_SERVER['HTTPS'] == 'on') ? TRUE : FALSE);
  5. }
  6. ?>

Maybe before any code you could set $_SERVER['HTTPS'] = 'on';

I'm not sure how your class detects if there is SSL or not. You could check to see if you're using port 443? Depends what you're doing, your post is kind of vague.

Sorry about the vague post... this is the first time I'm starting to mess around with SSL so I'm not so sure what information is required to make the post not-vague :)

I'll try that, thanks

Setting $_SERVER['HTTPS'] = 'on' didn't work...

To provide a little more information, the class uses http://authorize.net/ for payment transactions and the class itself is here.
