Has anyone had any experience switching phpBB to another domain on same server?

I'm assuming I just have to copy all files and then reupload them? Is there anything else?

You'll need to backup your database, then once the switch to the new domain is completed, you'll need to restore the database (to retain existing data). Nice thing about phpBB is when you backup the database, it saves it so that when you restore it first deletes the existing tables, then recreates them with the pre-existing data. Doing it manually is a pain in the arse, but these guys made it pretty simple.

You also may need to rerun the config.php file at the new site to update the new database with the current username and pwd.

Recommendation would be not to delete your old database until the switch is complete and working properly.

you'll also have to download all the files if you added any mods.
