Is there a way to make a program in VB that can change your desktop image? preferably not too complex.

You can make the background of your desktop an html page. I did that and then did some js to cycle through an array of bg images, swapping every 5 mins.

This might not be what you are looking for, but it's quick and simple and worked quite nicely.

I also did another one that swapped images onclick.

Then I f-disc'd :(

Feel your pain! Once got brave and started fiddling with an innoDB file for mysql and over wrote it with a different one (don't ask me why) and bang! - All my db's stopped working, thank heavens I madfe sql dumps before hand but it took a good couple of hours to get them all running properly with the foreign key constraints etc.

Made a mental note never to do that again!

lol, I keep all my work on a separate HDD (soon I'll be keeping it on an entirely separete computer), but for some reason I saved the bg script in C:\background\ and just forgot about it when I ditched winXP

The only problem with doing it my way is that you can't right click on the desktop to get the display properties window.
