Hey guys, I was thinking about starting up a discussion forum and I'm looking for some input on what scripts you guys think are the best. I have difficulty with php so I'm looking for something easy.

The only things I really need are that it is spam safe and SEO friendly. Oh, and easy to work with.

I would recommend phpBB as it is free, widely used and very well supported as well as very easy to use... I've used it a lot myself, have modified the source code myself (this is actually the main way I learned most of my PHP).

There is also vBulletin but you have to pay to use it though... never used it so I can't tell you the difference.

This site is using phpBB.

Nice work, i never liked the stock version so i never gave it a chance but you have done major work to it and never noticed. i figured you made your own CMS from the ground up.

Long Live Ozzu, i say.

Which SEO mod should I use. I've been Googling them. The first one I got didn't come with any directions. The second one was written in French.

check the phpbb site for official mods. Also look over their main forum for start up help as it would be posted everywhere but post up if your having trouble with it.

This is the one I like... I've used this SEO mod since the first time I learned of it and I love it.

I would recommend that mod to anyone
