Where can I find directshow decoder filter?

hey all,
ive been trying to find 'directshow decoder filter', so i can encode mpeg2 on windows encoder, i cant find it anywhere, only litrature on it. i know its related to directX and i installed that but it didnt help me. is it ment to me apart of it? or do u download it separetly, and where? any help would b kool.

you might try getting the latest directX 9.0 from windows update site.. as i recall i think it is a part of the directx package...

Gadget Guru - i downloaded directX the newest version but it didnt do anything. thanks anyway though.

twiztit_momma - i downloaded ffdshow.exe from that link, do i have to put it into a specific directory or what. Windows Encoder still wont let me encode mpeg2. Do u use it your self?
