wordpress popup comments

Hello all,

I don't know which of you use WordPress, but in any case, I've been trying to implement popup comments on my page for a really long time. I'm working with the default theme of version 2.8. I feel as though I've tried everything, including opening header.php and placing
Code: [ Select ]
<?php comments_popup_script(); ?>
directly above
Code: [ Select ]
<?php wp_head(); ?>
. I am at a complete loss of knowledge as to what to do.

Any WordPress users/mavens out there? Would you know?

Thank you Gab. It didn't work, but I appreciate your effort nonetheless. I finally did get them to work; I had to switch over to a different theme. Now I'm experiencing other problems though.. I can't even log in!
