Blogspot bloggers

I have searched and am able to find a way to make static page. But that is only for one page. However, the current endeavor is creating multiple static pages.

Do you want to share? Thank you.

:)

I'm not sure what you mean.

As far as I know, all posts produce static pages at Blogger once they're posted. :scratchhead:

It is like "About page". There is no posts, dates and comments. There are some techniques using post, and manually editing some of the HTML. However there is also this way where you create a widget. (HTML/Javascript) -- new page, then applying some "if" in the HTML. I tried the latter and am able to create only one page. I am still trying to find a way to add more pages using the latter technique.

I'll look into it this evening.
I have an vague idea how the blogger template system works, but I've never thought about creating about-us type pages using it.

I'm not seeing any sort of <b:elseif/> logic in blogger templates, and the few obvious options I tried had no effect. To make it more fun, there doesn't appear to be any logical AND operator either, so we have to use a bunch of nested <b:if> statements.

Code: [ Select ]
<b:if cond="data:blog.url == "http://blog.blogspot.com/.../page.html"">
    Contents of page 1
</b:if>

<b:if cond="data:blog.url == "http://blog.blogspot.com/.../page2.html"">
    Contents of page 2
</b:if>

<b:if cond="data:blog.url != "http://blog.blogspot.com/.../page1.html" ">
    <b:if cond="data:blog.url != "http://blog.blogspot.com/.../page2.html" ">
        Blogger post templates
    </b:if>
</b:if>
  1. <b:if cond="data:blog.url == "http://blog.blogspot.com/.../page.html"">
  2.     Contents of page 1
  3. </b:if>
  4. <b:if cond="data:blog.url == "http://blog.blogspot.com/.../page2.html"">
  5.     Contents of page 2
  6. </b:if>
  7. <b:if cond="data:blog.url != "http://blog.blogspot.com/.../page1.html" ">
  8.     <b:if cond="data:blog.url != "http://blog.blogspot.com/.../page2.html" ">
  9.         Blogger post templates
  10.     </b:if>
  11. </b:if>

Seems like more trouble than it's worth, I hope there's some sort of documentation page out there with something I missed on it. :scratchhead:

Joe, there is this guy who tried the mimic. However the current problem he is facing is mulitple pages creation. Maybe, you will come up with a solution to that?

Thank you for looking into this, as it leaves me a little little uneasy.

Joe, can we consider this as hacking of some sort? I hate to think that way. Unfortunately, there is no official way of doing it.

Yeah, it's pretty much a hack.

That guy and I seem to be using the same logic of using a <b:if> block to make non-post pages, I just skip the complexity of adding a an HTML widget and add the pages directly to the template. Basically getting the blogspot server to handle display instead of having javascript attempt to hide something.

No matter how you do it, you're going to have to use nested <b:if> blocks to account for multiple pages. I'm not sure how you would do that with the widget method you've linked there.

Uhh, like this? http://www.bertoandkiera.blogspot.com
My friend did the coding. She said that it's all about linking stuffs and like that.
It also depends on your layout. It won't work on some layouts.

It is still important to me although I will not be doing it anytime soon have got other things to busy with now. Thank you, and what exactly do you mean by non-post page?
