Photography Competition #64: National Pride

Photography competition topic: National Pride - The Olympics are coming soon in July, so I thought it would be an excellent idea to show everyones country colors in celebration. Any photos should contain a country flag, emblem, or other easily identifiable representation of your country.

Rules: This is strictly a photography contest! No photo chopping, but contrast, brightness, levels and other minor touch-ups (healing tool will be allowed for film and print scans). Please avoid any text on the photograph, except at most a copyright statement, remember distractions like text can take away from the composition. Digital and film photography are both allowed. Only one submission per user will be allowed.

You MUST have taken the image yourself.

Max size dimension: 850px (including border)
Max file size: 200kb
File name: Please name your entry the same as your user name (or as close to as possible if your user name has characters that are not allowed in file names)
(Please ensure your entry meets the above before entering your image)

Length: Competition closes Friday 22nd June, 2012!

Voting lasts ten days after close of competition.]]>

Developer Competition

I thought id test the water a bit with a coding based comp by creating the Web Design Competition a few weeks ago. As yet, with just over a week to go until competition closes we have yet to see an entry. Im trying not to let that be a sign that there is no desire to have a coding based comp. So, this is where i need your input.

What type of coding competitions would appeal to everyone? What do you feel would interest you in taking part in any future coding competitions? Have you any further thoughts on any future competitions for Ozzu?

Website Design Competition #7 - Superhero

First Website Design competition seen on Ozzu in 3 and a half years! Long overdue.

Create a three (3) page website dedicated to "Superhero". Whether you want to create a Superhero or dedicate a page to a well known hero. Whatever you do, have fun.

Please create something new and fresh - practice your skills!

Rules:

* Your entry MUST contain your username anywhere on each of the pages
* Webpage design is strictly HTML and CSS only (with images)
* CSS is allowed of course and can be in a seperate file
* Please place images and CSS (if seperate from the html) in the same folder. In other words, ONE FOLDER FOR EVERYTHING.

You MUST also, after posting your entry, PM me a link to a .zip or .rar file with the .html doc and images in the one folder so I can put them up on the server for the final votes (All work remains copyright of yourself). You can also attach your .zip/.rar file using the attachment feature provided.

Only one submission per user will be allowed.

You MUST have created the website yourself.

Any questions please ask in the thread.

Max total file size (inc images): 500KB
(Please ensure your entry meets the above before entering your piece - Entries not meeting critera will be notified by PM and given a couple of days to adjust it, but please get it right the first time) *poke*

The next photography competition topic is : Funny/Happiness - Interpret this how you may. Take a photograph of something funny, or take a photograph that depicts a good case of happiness whether it is the facial emotion or what Happiness means to you. Are you going to a comedy show? or are you celebrating a wedding or birthday party soon? Be creative!
