Yahoo Groups to website transition

Id like to hear from anyone that has experience with migrating to a static site that you have more control over. Things like the CMS used and plugins/themes. I have been using Drupal but find the themes arent that great and it is a little bit complicated for many users. If there were a clone of the groups though that would make it an easy switch. Anyhow, the point in doing this is to have more control to make some money. Yahoo groups give you like 2000 characters to put on the main page and that is it.]]>

Jatin: yes, the problem is, when I delete contact from yahoo messenger and then yahoo messenger ask us " Also Delete from Address Book too " . so I mark that bcz i want it . and then this error comes .

Miles: I see what you mean.

Miles: You can delete a contact successfully but when it asks you if you want to delete also from the address book, then it gives an error.

Miles: What you can do this time is try uninstalling and reinstalling the Yahoo! Messenger application.

Im currently answering questions on yahoo answers and one of my answers was marked as spam even if it was unique and helpful.

I always change my responses and I always provide good information. A lot of my answers have been chosen as best and I dont want this to happen again... Can you help me to avoid this? Thanks !]]>

Yahoo Messenger not showing messages

my yahoo messenger wont show any messages on the IM window. I can see what i am typing but not when ive sent it already. I cant also see the messages sent for me. Ive already reinstall different versions of yahoo messenger and have followed the instructions to troubleshoot it but it still doesnt work.

Yahoo complete message history not found under profile

Yahoo program was installed on D partition not C , and OS was installed on C partition
Before I formatted the C partition (windows 7 64 bit was installed) I backed up the whole profile (Computer > Local Disk ( C : ) > Users > allentodd ) for the username : allentodd to my external hdd
Means I have already backed up my yahoo profile beside other profiles (when I backed up the whole profile for allentodd I did not check yahoo profile specifically

First question I believe the above quote has a typo it should be :

Second question
After that I formatted the C partition and I installed a fresh copy of windows 7 64 bit and I did create the same username which was (allentodd)
Now the when I tried to restore the yahoo profile that I have already backed up to my external hdd I could not find any Yahoo folder under this path :

allentoddAppDataLocalVirtualStoreProgram Files (x86)Yahoo!Messenger

And I could not any yahoo folder under the path below as well

allentoddAppDataLocalVirtualStoreProgram FilesYahoo!Messenger

Why this is happening ? Is this because yahoo was not installed on the C drive initially ?

Confused about Yahoo rankings

I rank very well for certain key words with Google, but with the same keywords with Yahoo I rank poorly. Is there anything I can do to push my rankings with Yahoo.

If you glance at the FAQs it also says this:

I for one, welcome this change. Out of the three major search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo!), Ozzu receive the smallest amount from Yahoo and I believe it has to do with their algorithm, how they rank sites, and their lack of relevancy compared to the other search engines. So for my situation I expect that this might increase traffic when their organic search results will start being powered by Bing. For some reason I have always had trouble getting Ozzu to rank for webmaster forum on Yahoo!, yet on both Google and Bing its on page one where it should be as Ozzu is one of the larger, higher quality webmaster forums on the Internet. So I am curious if Ozzu will start ranking for that term once results are powered by Bing.

For the most part when I search for things I usually use Google as I have found that they generally provide the highest quality results and will return things I am actually looking for. Over the last few months however, I have noticed that it seems a bit harder to find the exact thing you are looking for especially when your search query contains 3 or more words. I think Google is now trying to show results for things that they think you might really be looking for instead of finding exact matches. For me when I type something in Google I expect that page to have the exact words I am search for, not synonyms or related words. So with that said every now and then when I cannot find what I am looking for using Google, I will use Bing and have actually noticed that the type of results they show seem fairly relevant and sometimes I can find what I am looking for there. I have also tried Yahoo and I hardly ever get anything relevant there, at least not compared to Google or Bing.

So with this update coming in the near future it will appear that there will be really two major search engines that websites will rank for, as Yahoo will being using results powered by Bing.
