Great ideas, wouldn't have thought of those. As for the PHP, that's all extreamly new to me and I really don't know if I have the time to learn about it (19 credit hours at the college and part-time job). Love the idea on best of photographs... that really caught my attention. Yeah, I know the links...

thenitelite.net Well guys it's been a while last was here, but I wanted to fill you guys in on some changes we've done. We've had many people complain that the font was too small: it's now fixed. We've also had people suggest that maybe we make the font an off-white: that's fixed. We've also encorp...

New Deal guys-- I'll let you guys in on an unofficial preview of the new style. Let me know if this is better, worse, or the same to the original. I don't want everyone to know about this, except the people on this board -- being this is a webmaster forum. Official debut is going to be around hollow...

Oh, so you want it so that when they click on it, it will prompt them to "save as" a file somewhere on their computer? Exactly. That little download window that prompts either to save or open the file... or have two different links, one where if clicked it streams the file and plays it and the othe...

Actually you'd think it would work, but 'a href' actually launches the default player (i.e. winamp, wmp, etc) and plays it...

ugh.

Ok some of you, if not most, know of thenitelite.net website -- which I am currently working on. We've only been up for a couple months this year and still learning all the tricks. My question, to you, is what is the source code (either JS or HTML) that will allow a user of my website to download au...

You should try decreasing the contrast between the two colors and see what effect that has for your background. It will still have the striping effect but it might be a softer look then which doesn't strain the eye as much. Anyway you should give it a shot and see what it would look like. Yeah I wa...

The layout is funky, the black and white stripes get a little getting used to though, but that's just me.... :robot: The stripes are not suppost to be black and white... the hex#787878 is suppost to be a shade of grey, a bit darker than the city skyline on the menu... Is your color calibration for ...

Thanks for the help, is there anything that I should improve on? design, font, graphics, format, layout, etc? I did justify the columns, making it easier to read and seperate. -and- I centered the whole layout, which -does- make it look MUCH better. Thanks for the suggestions guys! Keep 'em comin'! :D

Unlike many of you guys, I'm sorta' new to the HTML/Website design carte'. I'm just learning Flash and Java, so I need to know what you guys think of thenitelite.net in terms of layout/design and use of JavaScript. Along with Java is PHP, which is scaring the crap outta' me but I still gotta' learn ...

Actually this isn't too bad on the skinny. I'm guessing around 600px width? Personally, I like the clean layout on the individual News postings. But I also agree with some of the earlier comments. It's a bit dark, not horribly dark, but could use some complimentary/contrasting colors. Something that...

The color scheme is pretty good. This is much better than my churches website (which we are currently in the process of a complete overhaul). The menu navigation is straight-forward and pretty easy to get around.

Is there a way to get around if JavaScript is disabled?

For a first time on flash, looks pretty sweet. I, myself, am still learning the ropes with Flash software. But like someone said I heard a bit of overlapping on your introduction audio. The animation was pretty seamless and used the right amount of FPS. I know there's a way to bring HTML into flash....
