well, if its being posted in, asus is going to release a new peripheral which is essentially an expresscard shell for a pci-e video card and is touted as an actual "external video card"

i recall it being something like 3.8 gb in size. i don't think anyones smtp server would allow a transfer that big. also, that link was for an "invite" of sorts to beta test it, without proper authorization [a beta key provided by microsoft] now, it would be illegal to use vista rc1

ive heard of multiple laptops supporting internal video memory [intel gma900/950] and simultaneously [well...not really] low end discrete nvidia cards.
however, these have a physical "switch" to turn either one on or off, and they require a reboot to change between them as well.

they could very easily build something "into" the computer. it could be a part of the os that analyzes all outgoing network traffic and blocks it if it determines that the data is for file sharing use. another way would be for purveyors of digital media to start bundling highly invasive dr...

you could justify the extra space the 5400rpm drive affords you by taking into consideration extended battery life. however the difference in battery life between 7.2k and 5.4k is negligible and therefore is a matter of price or performance. ive used both a 5.4k drive and a 7.2k drive in my laptop [...
