Computers don't screw up - people do. :P

I opened it up, removed the 256 MB stick and the computer failed to boot - apparently it's suppose to have another stick of internal memory (256). Am I correct in my presumption that the computer should be able to boot, given that it had 256 MB internal memory? I replaced the removable memory with 1...

Not sure what vid card you have, but it may simply be that your laptop uses shared memory for video. Thanks for the reply, ScienceOfSpock. I opened up my ram compartment and only found one 256 MB stick. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP video card that has 128 MB. Could it be possible that it'...

Hey guys, I have an HP laptop with two 256 MB sticks but only appears as 384 MB ram in Windows XP. I haven't test this in any other operating systems. I'm not even sure if it's an operating system issue for that matter. I've used PC Wizard 2006 to verify the ram as being two 256 MB sticks. Does anyo...

If we walk around worrying about all the people waiting to shaft us we would never get anything done.

Hallelujah. I can't agree more. Now, where are all the friendly Americans I keep hearing about?

How is this degree viewed in the professional world? I am currently a CS major but I'm thinking about switching. Is this degree looked at as being inferior to the Computer Science degree and the REAL engineering degrees? It depends on what you want to do. I'm in CS because I'm interested in softwar...

I think you are not really looking at the bigger picture here. It is good if you can get an XBOX 360 for $100, but you have to consider the extra costs that will be incurred on top of the shipping. You also have to consider whether or not you really trust any member here on Ozzu. You could trust me...

Only if you send the games after you're finished. :P

Hey guys, I have an unusual request and I'm asking an Ozzu member - willing to help out - to do just that. Amazon.com is having a Customer Vote deal where a bunch of products are going to be offered at a discounted price on Thursday. Four deals are on display but only one will be available after mem...

I think it's a matter of personal taste really. Be friendly, that always works. Listen to what people have to say. You'll be surprised at how much people love talking about themselves. "Be civil to all; sociable to many; familiar with few; friend to one; enemy to none." - Benjamin Franklin

Thanks, justG. I played around with your suggestions and managed to get it to render perfectly in Firefox. However, IE is still a problem. I'll upload some code later on. :)

Hi there, I'm trying to get the custom checkbox script from slayeroffice.com to work. Here's what I've got: http://www.nurvix.com/test . Unfortunately I can't get it to work. I've added all of the necessary files but no luck. JS: http://www.nurvix.com/test/custom_checkbox.js CSS: http://www.nurvix.c...

Hi there, I've got an image that I converted into an input form but it creates gaps around it and screws up the entire the design. I was wondering if it's possible to somehow remove the gaps and have the form item (input field) act like a normal image (without the gaps) because that's the effect I'm...

C'mon guys, stop giving the man a hard time. Talking about hard, we all remember what Mr. Clinton did in his spare time, don't we?
