well, you're gonna get a lot of replies with different suggestions because there are a lot of good products out there and every person has one they will swear by. so good luck sorting through all that  i personally use sony. just consider how you'll be using this laptop. do you need a fairly l...

good idea. because i was just thinking, if you try to cover everything discussed, from baseball, football, basketball, rugby, wrestling, running, swimming, America, Asia, Africa, and Europe, as well as bringing up social, cultural, economic, and genetic factors, you will pretty much be standing in f...

Hi SugarKane, i agree that his "thesis" is a bit questionable, at least the way he words things. i'm guessing everything is just in rough form until he finally decides what he wants to do with it. and yes he has been using too many assumptions as "verifiable fact". but how do you know if that is not...

Hi TomK. great thesis idea! i completely disagree with what Bgnn32 said (sorry, i don't mean to call you out). there have been several scientific studies regarding this matter (there are scientific studies for ANYTHING you can think of). as for scientific evidence, here is a scientific journal artic...

i don't know if you see these often, but do you get those weird "pop-ups" that aren't actual windows, but graphics on a website? cosmopolitan, and ladies home journal uses them. you guys probably don't go to those sites, but i'm sure there are other ones that use them as well. http://www.cos...

4. Thou shall admit that linux is only good for bragging rights and elitism. that's actually kind of true...from what i hear. i agree with scienceofspock with #6. they would much rather use old parts from older machines and/or buy parts on ebay. this way, it would be much cheaper...and more "fun".

hey all, thank you so much for replying. sugarkane and captain-nick, i followed your advice and got exactly what i wanted to accomplish. however, it didn't look as nice as i pictured in my head so i tried the "Wind" effect instead.

:D
but thanks!

this will probably be the most crude description but please help. i have a graphic which i want to...kind of skew and stretch across the screen...almost like a gradient. but i don't want the entire picture to be skewed because it's a flower and it's pretty so i want people to see the flower. but i w...

i don't believe the <strong> tags deal with meaning and the <span> tags deal with aesthetics. for one thing, the former is HTML, the latter is CSS. you can't differentiate because you can code a site completely in HTML and not use CSS, that doesn't mean HTML can't have a method to use bo...

oops, scratch that. i should learn to read more carefully. you know what, this is very strange. i've tried everything (literally) and it's very odd. your best bet would be to take that white cell out so you would have two columns in that one row: the main column with the content & the yel...
