No errors at all. The funny thing is the computer doesn't restart, it just shuts down. I power it back on and it boots back up and starts printing from page 1, after about 10 or so pages it shuts down again. If I power the printer off before printing begins, the pc works fine.

Still having no luck, I took the hard drive out and made sure it was in properly, made sure it's booting from hard drives. NO built in NIC cards present. Should I try reloading windows? Or is that of no help?

yea there isn't a floppy disk in the drive. Actually the floppy is external and isn't even connected to the laptop

I never had a password. For the shared folders I just made thepassword my initial, then it told me to reboot. After I did that, It wouldn't log me on to windows without a password, which I have no clue what to use. I've tried everything.

2 of them are on MSHOME...the other wont come up on anything. I am able to get online from all three. I can get to the printer from the first 2 pcs but not the third.

I have 3 pcs hooked up to a wired network. When i go into network places on the main pc I'm able to see 1 other computer, pc 2 shows me another...in other words I'm not able to see all three pc's from any computers. the main pc is running 2000, the other 2 XP pro.

any suggestions?

ok here's another question, maybe there's a way around it. The computer is reading my cd rom drive as R. I tried typing in setup to see if it would befing loaading windows but it says It cannot be ran from Dos. Any suggestions?

I did what you guys said--the problem now is wont let me get past the A prompt, I tried typing cd C: and it keeps saying invalid..... Also if I don't reboot with the floppy it says invalid disk.....replace disk and hit any key to continue. what could be the problem

My computer was acting wack, It has windows ME on it. I decided to wipe out my system and start from scratch. The boot disk wasn't doing anything so I went to A:, then I hit fdisk and it erased the dos partition. What exactly did that do, now it wont load anything on and I'm not able to load windows...

I have a brand new HP pavillion 505n with windows xp, I also have an old emachine with windows 2000. I have info on the hard drive on the Emachine...I somehow blew the video card and some other stuff on the emachine. Is there a way for me to take the hard drive from the emachine and put it on the HP...
