I see I need to improve the focus of the items on the page. The surfboard graphics are work previews.

@ rantized, about a day to make @ graphixboy. Thanks for the pointers about hierarchy. The work previews on the right side originally had subtitles under them and had lightbox as well, but I'm working on the backend and it's all being effected as a result. Can anyone provide some constructive criticism besides atnotw? Lol!

I'm going to be putting up the other 3 pages today, so hopefully then I could spawn some suggestive advice. I know it's not a perfect site, there's bound to be flaws, just need someone who is good at picking them...

Can you be more specific? I appreciate that you like it, but I'm sure there's something you dislike or might do differently. Opinions are golden. :D

Totally in agreement. This site may fulfill it's purpose, but thats a fundamental basic. I could imagine this being a smaller part of a larger site, but it seems a bit arbitrary. As for the design, the thing you have to focus on is the site's purpose and intended content. The first thing I noticed w...

Thanks atno, means alot coming from you. I have an older portfolio site that was done completely in flash, you can see that in my splash page. I was a completely convinced flash addict until a friend of mine crashed my party with some well-needed advice on the absence of SEO in flash objects, so I s...

Definitely need to work on the typos, they are everywhere. Nothing brings down a legitimate business more than typos. Professionalism is key, and you won't land any work if you don't apply quality assurance to the work you do.

Thanks. Minimalism helps alot with the inherent loading time, and I'm not sure if I understand your second sentence very well, no flash in the site...yet

:)

There's alot of downfalls with ie6 and 5.5, but to be quite honest, any user using IE6 needs to be slapped. That browser is practically a decade old. It's time to upgrade.

I'm not sure if this is going to answer your question, but here's how I generally get around the regular button mouse-over method. First take your graphic (I'm assuming you can take your button and remove saturation to give the black and white effect). Convert the image to a movie-clip (not a button...
