OK - I tried re-installing by booting to the XP disc - no dice. When I try to delete the partition it tells me I am not able to delete - no explanation. I then tried that Kill Disk program - same thing - I get an error when trying to erase what is on there now. Is God trying to tell me something?

All of the forums, members, posts, etc... are stored in your database - upgrading your forum will not effect them in any way. I had a similar issue at my board and did a fresh install of the latest version of PHPBB - no problems.

OK, I installed the first part and tried to do the static url mod. I THINK I got it right, but the site now seems to load extremely slowly - not sure if I did it right. Also, the last part of that Mod asks me to open and altart the robots.txt...which I don't have anywhere. Did I miss something?

Not a bad idea to send the feeds to a private forum, then move over anything worth keeping in the live forums. For now I've just limited it to 3 feeds per day in each forum, hopefully that will provide some fresh info every day and not flood the forums with a posting bot.

OK, so I got the WIndows XP disk - insert it in the machine, reboot - and get the "Press Any Key To Boot From CD" prompt - and I hit a key.

From there it gives me a brief message about checking computer hardware...then the screen goes blank and everything dies.

Well, for the convenience and availability of the MP3s - they are as good as it gets. The sound quality isn't CD quality - but it's almost indistinguishable from regular CDs at 128kbs.

I've been using it more and I like it. The layout is great for quickly finding and labeing pictures. It even automatically resizes and emails pics through Gmail in a flash.
