Word tracker is my personal favorite. goto Google and type in Word Tracker.
Under the first result click "Free Keyword Suggestion Tool ..." and use that. I find this tool to be more accurate than overture keyword tracker

link:www.yoursite.com will show the sites linking to that particular domain. Don't be mistaken though, this could be a great way for finding new link partners. Somtimes it's good to do this with competing site's to see where they are getting links from.

Yahoo is usually rather quick. i would say 1-2 weeks max if you have some backlinks going your way
