Thanks, you're right, I didn't realize it did that. I'll get that fixed.

Haha, thanks. Yeah, apparently digg clones scripts aren't that great, the best I could find was Pligg which, honestly, isn't very good. I suspect I'll have to break down and get someone to do a professional design.

This is a Digg style site that allows members to post the 'worst sites on the net' where members can vote on the site. Still have a couple things I need to clean up (it looks better on IE then firefox for whatever reason), but I'd like to get peoples ideas on the layout and concept and any suggestio...

The site looks nice, my only suggestions would be to add more items to your portfolio and also list a pricing range or pricing structure. Going to the site I wondered myself, "hmm, icon looks nice, but I wonder how much they charge". While you might have great prices, I didn't see them lis...

The site looks good, but I have to wonder about the niche you chose. I wonder how many people are wandering around looking for random blog reviews. The Blog owners might like the exposure, but beyond that, I don't see where repeat traffic would come from.

Just my thought.

Site looks great. Everything is clean and easy to use, you wisely also added the RSS reader prominently on the top of the page along with the essential social networking links under each article (I sometimes wonder, doing that myself, whether anyone really does use those links to recommend your site...

i asked them to install the perl module, and that was the response the gave me Umm, it's not a script, it's part of the OS... Argh... I don't know, I have a feeling they don't run the server themselves. Especially if they do not know what a perl module is. All I can say is, best of luck, and backup...

nah i've asked them but they said "sorry but we can't help you install your own scripts" No, I meant have them install the perl module... Let them know you've been looking over quite a few scripts to use on your site, and they all require the DB Flat File module. They also state that this module is...

Have you tested to make sure data is stored in the $username and $id variables? In other words they are not blank correct? Also I know you said you had the MySQL table setup, but do you have an ID in that MySQL table that matches the ID that you are sending through the $id variable? I agree with yo...

I have a login page, which is not in SSL. However, the script that processes this information is. While that information passes to the login page to the page that processes this information, is this information encrypted? I don't believe so, as you are viewing the page unencrypted. After you fill o...

In windows, using IIS. (My Computer -> Manage -> Internet Information Services) Right click on the domain you want to edit and click Properties. Click on documents, and add Index.php to the list. Also, you might want to move Index.php to the top of the list if you want it to be used before any...

I wouldn't recommend your own DNS servers. Most simply, you would need two IP's to do it. What I would recommend, however, is use of something like granitecanyon.com or mydomain.com and use those as the DNS server. With Granitecanyone.com, at least, you can set up the DNS record exactly as you want ...

I'm creating a new website for my band, and I was planning on creating a forum. Unfortunately, I have a few problems. You suggested that I ask my web host, but I have absalutely no idea who my host is. The old administrator just gave me his username and password. Is there an easy way to find out? A...

i really have no major complaints with my host, except that they have a very small index of perl modules - i have to use a forum script that uses text files because they don't even have DB Flat File Hahahaha... Have you asked them to install it? If they own the server, it shouldn't be a problem. Ev...
